Squash Information

Members of the Squash section are entitled to use the squash facilities at the club along with the Members Bar, which is a shared area for Squash, Cricket and Social members. Full members, Students and Junior members are allowed to use the facilities at any time, however Junior members should be accompanied by an adult.

Access to the courts and changing facilities are by coded key, which means members can play squash before work or later in the evenings.

Squash membership runs in line with all other memberships. These run from 1st May to 30th April each year.

Club nights are held every Wednesday commencing at 19:45. These evenings take the format of a ‘Round Robin’ where members of various abilities get to play against each other. This is a good starting point for new members enabling them to meet other members, judge their ability and arrange games.

Squash members of the club are automatically enrolled as members of England Squash which has many benefits including the “Squash Player Magazine”. More details on this can be found by visiting the England Squash website.

Junior squash sessions for ages five and upwards are held on Sunday’s between 14:30 and 16:00 provided by fully qualified coaches, who hold a current CRB check for Child Protection.
For more information, please contact Ian Dickson (link at bottom of the page).

Subsidised rates are available for Junior members and young improvers. Anyone interested should contact the Membership Secretary or any Committee Member.

For those wishing to play competitive squash, there is a Club Ladder from which members are chosen to play as part of the teams in the North West Counties Squash League.
