Club FacilitiesBowden Lane is a great venue for watching cricket and relaxing. The ground offers a quiet setting within the suburban / rural setting of Marple, with excellent views of the local countryside from the players balconies.
As well as the usual changing facilities and dressing rooms the Bowden Lane clubhouse offers an excellent members bar serving a range of draught beers and soft drinks. The bar has substantial areas of comfortable seating and also offers a pool table, games machine and dart board for the more traditional pub sports. Steward Derek McGlynn and the staff are always on hand to provide a friendly welcome.
Need a venue to hold a celebration ? Our newly decorated function room is available for hire. From disco party nights to formal seated occasions - we can accomodate all manners of events. To book the hall please see the "Function Room Bookings" option on the "Contact Us" page.
Please Note: If you are interested in hiring our Function Room, please be aware that because of our close proximity to residential areas, a "Sound Limiter" is used to limit the noise. Please make sure that any Live Bands or DJ's etc, give themselves plenty of time while setting the room up, to test for the maximum volume level.
The Bar is open to all members from 7.30pm nightly throughout the year. During the Cricket Season the bar also opens for home matches on both Satudays and Sundays.
The bar offers Sky TV, a Pool Table, fantastic Cricket viewing areas, and now serves Real Ale on handpump.
Members also organise dances, concerts and live music events on regular occasions throughout the year. Please come along and support these events. Upcoming Events can be found on the "Club Events" page.
